What’s the Opposite of Anticipation?

October 26, 2007

Well, it’s official. Tim is going in for surgery next week to have his gallbladder removed. It’s supposed to be a fairly non-invasive procedure and it’s not a high-risk thing, but that doesn’t make it any less scary! This weekend I plan to tidy up the house, since having a recuperating husband for a week sounds like a BIG job:o)

I don’t actually mean to make Tim sound like he’s work. I think in part he’s just such a source of strength and security for me, so it always feels bigger than it is when he’s on the couch and needing extra TLC. This time I think it will be extra difficult for me, since I’ll have to keep Gabe from jumping on his Daddy’s tummy!

Other than gearing ourselves up for next week, everything is pretty routine here. Gabe has discovered that he can pull the drawers out of the organizer totes I’ve got his diapers, baby food and odds and ends in, so I now have to search the living room for whatever I need every time I change his diaper. On top of that he managed to press the button to open his wipes container, and by the time I discovered it (he was being WAY too quiet!) he had them everywhere. The silver lining happened to be that he dusted the furniture within his reach with the wipes, so that’s one less thing I have to do (ha!) this weekend:o)

I love you with my whole heart. And promise not to ring the bell too much next week 😉
